Certified Nurse Aide/Home Health Aide

This program is designed for individuals who are interested in obtaining employment as nurse assistants, home health aides and/or personal care service workers.

Offers a combination of classroom and clinical experience, which will prepare you to become a Certified Nurse Aide/Home Health Aide and to take the New York State Department of Health certification examination.

This course includes 210 hours of instruction:

Students learn skills in our modern skills laboratory and practice skills using each other and manikins prior to attending clinical.

In the clinical experience the student is assigned to care for one or more residents and provide all of the care that client needs.

Course Requirements

Passing grade is 80% for all units.

Student must demonstrate ability to provide patient care safely at clinical sites.
