Autism Support Services
This service provides program development for school-age students with autism to ensure a continuum of quality, research-based educational programs. This service is available to the BOCES and to the component school districts BOCES supports.
The scope of services provided includes the following:
Develop and implement in-service training for component districts.
Provide on site coaching and feedback focused on supporting students with autism in inclusive educational environments.
Offer turnkey training and inclusive site development.
Supply a lending library of books and videos including biographies and autobiographies of individuals with autism and teaching resources related to autism and inclusive schooling.
Organize and facilitate a parent support group.
